What is Laser Eye Surgery?

Laser Eye Surgery is carried out by using a knife to cut a flap in the cornea of the eye after anaesthetic drops have been applied. This flap is peeled back and the laser directly shapes and forms the cornea. The flap is folded back over and an eye patch is then worn over the eye for the next 24 hours.
